The SAR belt is specially recommended for use in Port Handling facilities and Iron Ore Mines. The abrasion tests of the cover are conducted in line with the provisions of DIN 53516. Special wear resistant covers with much lower loss due to abrasion can be formulated by CBC on demand.

Heat Resistant Conveyor Belts are manufactured by Calcutta Belt Centre in various grades to suit specific application areas. C-flex Heat Resistant Belts have found wide acceptance in Steel Plants (for handling Sinter and Coke) and Cement Plants (for handling Clinker) in addition to other areas of applications. As a rule, special heat resistant belts are required for transporting materials with a temperature of over 70°C. Materials of this type may consist of sinter, cement, moulding sand, coke etc. The service life of these belts depend not only on the temperature of the materials to be transported and on the construction of the belt but also on a number of other factors such as the wear properties of the materials, the fall during loading, the size of the material, the length of the belt, the speed of the conveyor and any chemical action which may be involved.

The general-purpose rubber covers swell considerably in most oils. The reason for this is that the rubber polymers in these grades consist of pure hydrocarbons, as do most oils, and the oil is easily absorbed by the rubber. The rate of absorption increases with the temperature.
C-flex specially designed Oil Resistant Belts are not affected by paraffin oil, naphthene-based oils, petrol animal or vegetable fats etc. and are suitable for transporting goods which contain oil.
Sporadic occurrences of fire hazards and concern for additional safety prompted CBC to design and manufacture C-flex Fire Retardant conveyor belts.
C-flex FR grade Conveyor Belts have been extensively used in Thermal Power Plants & coal mines in India and Abroad.
The Fire Retardant properties of the belt are determined invariably before dispatch, by Drum Friction Test, Electrical Resistance Test and Flame Test as per the provisions of various International Standards.

C-WallTM is the latest generation of Sidewall Conveyor Belts. The design of the new profiles and the equipment used in the production is of the highest technical standards. New revised polyester fabrics used in our range of cross stabilized base belts mean higher rigidity values with very low elongation and newly developed rubber compounds for our Sidewalls and Cleats ensure they can withstand the high stresses imposed in high capacity steep angle conveying.
The Sidewalls are produced from a high elasticity and high strength rubber compound and offer excellent flexibility and therefore maximum flexing. The use of diagonal fabric for the reinforcement within the Sidewalls ensures maximum elongation of the fabric at the flexing points as well as increasing tensile strength, again increasing the life of the Sidewall.
The state of the art assembly lines installed for the belts ensure maximum quality standards and higher productivity. The recently installed computer controlled roughening machine can precisely roughen the base belt automatically and to an exact depth, important in ensuring maximum bond strengths.
